Spin School Project Launch
Jul 6th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Spin School ProjectThe Spin School Project. Yoyoz is launching this exciting new initiative to bring the fun and art of playing yoyo to as many schools as we can manage and we are aiming to provide this free of charge to any school that apply’s
Yoyoz will donate a Spin-School pack to a different primary school on a regular basis , the Spin-School pack will include 12 Yo-School yoyos, spare strings, and a copy of original spin, the new DVD from Arron Sparks and Sam Veale. This DVD is perfect for teaching in the school environment, a science or sports teacher could learn whilst they teach during a 40 minute lesson or during after school act ivies, this could even be developed into an after school club
As well as products yoyoz will also provide support to the teachers which could take many forms but we will try ensure that the experience of learning to play yoyo is fun as well as enriching
At present this is being solely funded by Yoyoz.eu but we have been working on some possible finance over the past few weeks that could make this a lot bigger we will have to see how those meetings turned out.the progress of the project will be visible on a dedicated section at yoyoz.eu
Phase one launch’s today with a mail shot to schools the lucky school will be chosen at random, if anyone thinks their school would benefit from such a project please get head of year or appropriate department to contact the YYZ office

Hi
I am currently a technology teacher at Bideford College but in september i move to Teignmouth Community College. I have been yo-yoing for 10years on and off now and have used them in many lessons to demonstrate materials, technology development and designing for certain users.
I am looking to run an after school activity with yo yos and the possibility of making yo yos in september so your yo yos for schools is really exciting. Would yo consider a secondary school but maybe just to year 7 who will be fresh in from primary school?
Thanks
Nath

Hi yoyoz.eu
I’m a 10th grade student in the toronto area, in Canada, and i came across this in my daily views of yoyo websites, and i don’t know if you’re willing to ship overseas, but i would really like to get a club going here after school as i’ve noticed many people thought it was cool i did it but didn’t have the initiative to come ask me about it.
Thanks for the consideration
Hi Brandyn
At present we are only running this project here in the UK maybe Europe later but we have no plans to expand it into canada as yet, thankyou for your interest
